Setting up Windows ME1. Select Control Panel from the Start menu.
2. Double click the Make New Connection icon.
3. Enter I-2000 in the first field. Select your correct modem from the drop down menu and then click the next button.
4. Enter your area code in the Area code field and your local number in the Phone number field. Click the next button.
5. Click the Finish button.
6. With your right mouse button, click the I-2000 icon and select properties.
7. Click the Networking tab verify that Type of Dial-Up Server is PPP: Internet, Windows 2000/NT, Windows ME. Uncheck all the boxes except Enable software compression and TCP/IP. Click the Security Tab.
8. Enter your username and password in the appropriate fields and click the OK button.
9. With your right mouse button, click the I-2000 icon and select Create Shortcut.
10. Click Yes to the dialog box.
11. Return to your desktop by closing all the open windows. Your dial up connection is all set. I-2000,
